hashtag national coffee day

Is it a coincidence that I am sitting in a coffee shop blogging about national coffee day? I think - YES. Of course. Where else would I blog about coffee? Sitting here in my ripped jeans, army green slouchy polo, and sandals. Listening to the classic coffee shop music and the conversations around me - wondering what brought each person here? To Chicory Cafe in Downtown South Bend. Do they know it's National Coffee Day? Why didn't they go somewhere like Krispy Kreme or Dunkin' Donuts that has free coffee today? I am sure you are wondering the same thing about me. My answer is very valid. Simply put - I don't like coffee. & it makes your breath smell awful. {So, if you are a coffee drinker and I ever offer you a mint or piece of gum that's why.} But don't let my picture fool you. It's hot chocolate. I have been around coffee my whole life. My dad LOVES coffee and drinks it every day. {Einstein Brothers is his favorite spot in town.} Maybe I put a little coffee in my hot chocolate every once in a while, but most of the time I pass. It has a bad taste to me. Black coffee - what could be worse? Just go eat some fresh tar. But it smells divine! I wouldn't mind marrying a man who likes coffee just so I could smell it throughout the house. But to sit and have a cup of it is not my idea of fun.

Ahh, so why am I blogging about national coffee day if I don't like coffee? Basically so I could have a reason to blog. Isn't that so lame? It's ok, you can say yes. But then again why do I blog anyways? I am not a good writer. I do not plan on being an author, editor, or anything of the sort. I don't know where to place commas and colons correctly and I love the words "ain't" & "y'all". I plan to be the girl that writes to her audience and shares what makes her happy and what brings tears to her eyes. Who she lives for and Who lives in her heart. & what her goals and dreams are in life.

All those topics will come at a later time because I need to go and finish my hot chocolate on this national coffee day. I hope all you coffee lovers get to enjoy your coffee though. As long as you are happy then I am happy.!

Love others y'all.

Great reads.

I am just too excited about my blog to leave it alone! I wanted to write you with one more post before the end of the day.

I don't know about you guys but I like a good book. I most definitely judge a book by it's cover lol. If it does not have cute colors or cover then it looks boring to me. {Unless someone suggested it to me then I will read a book with a dull black cover.} And I never pass up a good deal on the books at the Family Christian bookstore for members. They are like $5!

Here are some of my favorite books:

1. A Heart Like His - Beth Moore
2. The Purpose Driven Life - Rick Warren
3. The 5 Love Languages - Gary Chapman
4. The Power of a Praying Wife - Stormie Omartian
5. Things I wish I'd Known Before We Got Married - Gary Chapman
6. The Meaning of Marriage - Timothy Keller: with Kathy Keller
7. One Thousand Gifts - Ann Voskamp
8. Unconditional Love - Ben Stroup
9. The Sacred Search - Gary Thomas
10. You're already amazing - Holley Gerth
11. Praying for your future Husband - Robin Jones Gunn & Tricia Goyer
12. Radical - David Platt
13. The Best Yes - Lysa Terkeurst
14. Not A Fan - Kyle Idleman
15. The Circle Maker - Mark Batterson
16. Made to Crave - Lysa Terkeurst
17. Jesus Calling - Sarah Young

Some of these books I got from friends or family. They are all great books and very interesting reads if you are looking for something good! If you want to borrow any of mine I would love to let you :)

Enjoy!

First post!

Welcome to my blog! :) This is my first post and I am more than excited about it! I have always wanted to be a fashion blogger but never really put my mind to it. I decided to start this blog and not only blog about fashion, but about fun fitness activities, healthy recipes, vacations, nature, funny things, heart stopping moments, uplifting spiritual moments, and whatever else comes to mind :)

I am currently reading a book called "The Best Yes" by Lysa Terkeurst. She asks us what is that thing we have been wanting to do but we keep putting off because we cannot find time for it. She calls it our "soul thing". We need to take a chance and just go for it and we never know how good it will go for us. Well blogging is my thing! I am just going to start one and see where it  takes me. We never know the outcome of something unless we try right?

Not only did she say to "do that soul thing", but she also said to make sure we ask our selves "so I may bless whom?". I am here to write a blog because it is something I really want to do. I am also here to write a blog and bless the hearts and souls of anyone who reads it. I hope someone will read my posts and be blessed &  encouraged. {If you are blessed or encouraged in any way you should definitely email me and let me know :) blogabouit00@gmail.com}.

This is a very short post but I am in the process of trying to finish getting all the "settings" set up on my blog. I am very indecisive so you never know what my template or set up will look like lol! It could be different each day ;)

I hope you all are enjoying your Saturday! The weather is beautiful so get outside and do something because soon this weather will be no more. {NOT looking forward to that day!}

Love others y'all. Love others.
